Empower leaders.

Showcasing student leadership, compassion, and teamwork, the project helps provide essential support to families in need during the holiday season.

To fulfil a need for young people and families over the holiday breaks.

Showcasing student leadership, compassion, and teamwork, the Boredom Buster Boxes project helps provide essential support to families in need during the holiday season. Students from local schools have come together to gather donations, pack boxes, and make a meaningful difference in their communities.

Students recognised the need for support outside of school hours, when families often face a gap in essential resources. To meet this need, they’ve created Boredom Buster Boxes filled with essential items together with their peers. Through this initiative, students not only learn valuable life skills but also make a lasting impact in their communities. By working together to write letters to local businesses, coordinate donations, and pack the boxes, they’re helping ensure families have the resources they need to get through the holidays.

What’s the benefit of being involved?

  • Provides practical support to young people and families through essential items

  • Fosters leadership by encouraging compassion, team work and responsibility

  • Raises awareness of community challenges and the barriers many people face

This project is all about showing up when it matters most.

Young people changing lives.
